Do you often have download problems? It is known that some versions of virus checking software will corrupt downloads due to the way their checking process interrupts the data transmission. Similarly some firewalls will prevent proper file downloading.
Try turning off such software while you download (turn on again afterwards) and virus check the download before installation.
Installing a newer level of virus and firewall software may cure your problems.
