Dear all,

I was wondering if Vizimag was able to provide an electrical model of a transformer, based on simulation results?
In my mind, I was trying to have a kind of spice model or a s-parameter file.
But I'm not sure Vizimag would be suitable for this application.
Do you have any information about freeware working this way ?
Any help would be very kind

Regards

There was a bug here, but it has been corrected. Just download the trial again and reinstall.

Not at the moment, but perhaps in the future.

Dear all,

Is it possible to script the design of inductors/transformers in Vizimag?

Dear all,

I noticed something quite weird in the calculation of transformer, using Vizimag.
Considering 2 straight solenoids, one with current and the other without.
Simulation, then running the Transformer Analysis, based on the designed models.
Defining the primary voltage, frequency, and number of turns and resistance for primary and secondary.
Plus the load resistance, for secondary. Then calculate.
Currents, winding power, efficiency are calculated, plus coupling coefficient and mutual inductance.

Here comes my problem.
Even if I change Magnet settings from "In Free air" to "as Specification", coupling and mutual inductance would not change.
If I change the voltage on primary, these two parameters would not change too.
And the values of coupling coefficient seems strange: 100% really often.

Do you have any information ?
If needed, I could upload some simulation files.

Regards

Release 3.192 fixes three bugs.

1. Group function error if group already present.
2. Errors in superconductivity mode.
3. Error in calculation of transformer coupling coefficient.

To install, download the trial program and registration should be automatic. If not, put your registration code into Tools-Register Vizimag.

Release 3.191 fixes two bugs.

1. Group not always selected properly after Run.
2. Curved permanent magnet sometimes starts with zero strength.

To install, download the trial program and registration should be automatic. If not, put your registration code into Tools-Register Vizimag.

Calculate the vector potential of space and then plot contour lines.
